The Alliance for Positive Growth,
Inc. (APG) will present awards for projects and developments that exemplify its
mission to actively support sustained, progressive growth and development in
Southwest Louisiana at the 2nd annual Positive Growth Awards
Banquet. If your project reflects this vision, please submit an application.
The new SWLA Individual Recognition Award will be presented to
individuals who exemplify positive growth in each of the five parishes. There
is no fee to nominate an individual for this award.
All entries will be included in the awards program and pictured in a
video presentation, which will be shown during the banquet and on the APG
website.
AWARD SELECTION
The selection of winning projects is subjective but,
in general, projects that will be recognized demonstrate one or more of the
following attributes:

A developer’s vision for filling a market niche or bringing a new and
innovative product to market.
·
Has curb appeal that enhances an area.
·
Incorporates innovative design and/or construction techniques
(technology, energy, environment).
·
Applies Smart Growth principles.
· Projects must be completed between January 1, 2016 and June 1, 2019 and
located within Southwest Louisiana (Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron, and Jefferson
Davis Parish).
·
Awards are based on merit and will be selected by an Awards Committee.
·
Separate project Phases may be entered, i.e., Phase II or Phase III of
a previous winning project. Project phase must adhere to given time frame.
·
Non-placing projects from the 2018 Positive Growth Awards Banquet, may
be resubmitted for 2019.
NOTE: There will be no individual categories. The number of awards will be based on quality
and number of submissions. ALL winners will be announced by the Master of
Ceremonies the night of the banquet.
SUBMISSION FORMS
Multiple entries are
allowed. Each entry must include the following:
1. Attached application, inclusive of project description and fee.
(Complete on-line at APGrowth.org)
2. Applicable plans (site, floor, landscape, final plat, etc.
3. Photographs: No less than 3 with a maximum of 8 with descriptions of
each. If project is a rehab, provide
before/after photos. All photos must be
submitted on-line or via email. No hard
copies will be accepted.
Photos to be a minimum of
3”x5” size, at a resolution equal or greater than 300 DPI and in JPEG, TIF, EPS
or PDF form.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PROJECT
DESCRIPTIONS AND PHOTOS ARE THE PRIMARY ELEMENTS USED DURING THE BANQUET AND
ALL ADDITIONAL AWARDS PROMOTIONS.
4. To submit an entry for the Individual Award, please submit the individual’s
complete name and contact information with a detailed description as to why
they are deserving of this recognition.

Friday, June 28, 2019 at 4:00 pm
